Press or Journal? Both!

SNAP! is a small independent press and journal based in Southern California. We seek to publish poetry and creative nonfiction that reflects the sense of place and time in which we live.  Our aesthetic? Call it eclectic, but it has to hold. We love poems that are more honest than polished, more precise than perfect. We’re drawn to the margins, to the creative, queer, working-class voices—writers grounded in something real. We welcome the unexpected—language and form that experiments, surprises, and humor. We love it all, really. You just never know—so try us.

About the Editor

Kimberly Esslinger is the founder of SNAP! Poetry Review and Press. She started SNAP! as a way to publish writers she believes in—especially those doing good work but getting overlooked. She knows how hard it can be to get past the noise. That’s why SNAP! makes room for both emerging voices and writers with long lists of credits. You can Kimberly at [email protected].
